The two-day interpreter orientation will familiarize candidates with the Virginia Judicial System,
courtroom protocol, the role of the interpreter, specific skills needed for the different modes of
interpreting, and "do's and don'ts" on the job. Additionally, it will cover the components of the
oral exam and give candidates the opportunity to practice their skills for each of the three modes
of interpretation.
** Lunch will not be provided. Candidates will have an hour for lunch.
